“I have to lose weight first.”

As a coach and ambassador of CrossFit, I often hear the objection, “I’m not ready to try it yet. I have to lose weight first.” While there are countless reasons as to why this is simply not true, I came across a statement recently that does more justice.

A pastor said to a CrossFit coach, “I’m not ready to try it yet, I have to get in shape first.”

The CrossFit coach replied, “Do you tell people to get their lives straight before they come to church?”

Needless to say, the pastor signed up that day.
